Earlier this week, 55 people at the University of Texas in Austin were arrested at a pro-Palestine protest. Most were charged with criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor in Texas. The arrests occurred during a pro-Palestinian demonstration where students were demanding the university divest from companies supplying weapons to Israel for its strikes on Gaza.
