Audrey Hatcher

Audrey Hatcher is an associate at Varghese Summersett, where she focuses on state and federal criminal defense. She helps people facing misdemeanor and felony charges, including intoxication-related offenses, drug crimes, sex cases, thefts, and assaults. Audrey is committed to providing clients with the best possible representation and achieving optimal results.

Audrey is an alumnus of Texas Christian University, where she graduated with a double degree in political science and French modern language studies. While she was an undergraduate at TCU, she began interning at Varghese Summersett and impressed the partners with her intellect, work ethic, and positivity. She always knew she wanted to be an attorney, but it was here that she developed her passion for criminal law.

Audrey was accepted to every law school to which she applied and, ultimately, decided to attend SMU Dedman School of Law. While in law school, she continued to intern at Varghese Summersett, as well as the Federal Public Defender’s Office and the 68th District Court – solidifying her desire to practice criminal defense. Upon graduation, Varghese Summersett was thrilled to offer Audrey a position as an associate attorney.

In addition to being an outstanding advocate for our clients, Audrey is also a kind and compassionate person who participates in various causes. She is most active in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where she raises money through Team in Training and running marathons.

Fun Facts: Audrey speaks fluent French, holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and is an accomplished ballet dancer. (She was the Arabian Princess in the NutCracker as a teen in her hometown of Amarillo.)
