Melody McDonald Lanier is the Media Relations Director at Varghese Summersett PLLC. Prior to joining the firm, Melody was a well-known journalist at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The Tarrant County Courthouse was among her beats and many of her 3,000-plus articles covered breaking news at the courthouse. During her 12 years at the Star-Telegram, Melody appeared on Good Morning America, Fox News, Court TV and other national television programs.
Melody covered numerous national stories, including the American Sniper trial and the escape of the Texas Seven. Melody also previously worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Chicago Tribune. She also served as the first Public Information Officer for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office between 2011 and 2015.
